  • Samsung has unveiled its first folding phone, the Samsung Galaxy Fold, alongside a triple bill of new smartphones as it tries to head off competition from Apple and stem the decline of its global phone sales.
    The South Korean electronics giant has launched three new smartphones at twin events on Wednesday in London and San Francisco.
    This triple launch comes after Apple also added a cheaper phone to its iPhone line up. The iPhone XR, which costs around £150 less than Apple's more expensive devices, is believed to have been its best-selling model from its new range that was announced in September 2018.
    The main device launched today is Samsung's flagship S10 smartphone, which comes with a triple lens camera. There is also a larger variant, as in previous years.
